Water issue vs. Water emergency

Water Issue

If your faucet or toilet is leaking, please shut off the water at your meter and make the necessary repairs or contact a plumber.  There is a shut off valve on each side of the meter. You may need to use a pipe wrench to turn the valve 90 degrees.   Once the repair is made, use the pipe wrench to turn the valve back and turn the water on.  If you have a leaking faucet or toilet,  you can turn off the valve for the individual fixture under the sink or near the floor.

Water Emergency

If you you see excessive surface water outside and suspect a main water line or customer service line leak, this is a water emergency.  Please call the District immediately and leave a detailed message at  303-246-5254.  Operations will determine if the situation needs immediate attention or if it can wait for regular business hours.
